I like to jump right into things. Motherhood (there was a time we refer to around here as "the black hole period" where we had three children under 3 years old), Ash Street Interiors (which I started in a small home office in December of 2015 and has grown to a full roster of clients and overflowed into most of the first floor of my house), home projects (I'm managing 4 different project crews over on Ash Street, ) and now, blogging. I was invited by the amazingly talented Jana Bek to participate in a group blogging event highlighting the fabulous photgraphers we work with as designers. As someone who takes all my pictures with my mobile phone and relies heavily on professionals to document my work, I loved this idea. The only problem? My blog has said "Coming Soon" since February and the list of designers participating in this event not only have wide-reaching blogs with pages of gorgeously curated content, but they have well established design businesses as well. So I had two choices. Choice 1: Start my blog, pull together everything I needed to participate in a matter of days, Show Up and Own It or Choice 2: Politely decline and wait for a better time, more content, my website relaunch, my updated portfolio and more time to prepare. And here I am, Showing Up Anyway.
